What are your idols?

This question has been ringing in my mind for the past few weeks after hearing a song by Forever Jones that simply touched my heart. One of the lines in the song proclaims "Bow down, let go of your idols. He wants it all today." One thing I do realize is that God does not want to ever share our hearts. He wants it all!

Idol can be defined as
a. An image used as an object of worship.
b. A false god.
2. One that is adored, often blindly or excessively.
3. Something visible but without substance.
Idoletry, in a nutshell, is anything that comes before God. The bible tells us that we are to destroy those things that dare challenge or replace God in our lives.
2 Corinthians 10:5 "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ..."
I dare you to search your heart and ask the Lord to reveal what idols you have in your life that keep you from giving Him your all.
A doctor can save your life. A lawyer can defend your life. A friend can give you a meaningful life. But only GOD can give you an everlasting life (John 17:3). ~Ate Lenlen
